Stefanie Sun’s 10th album, Against the Light did especially well in success - in fact, it stayed at the top of the charts for many weeks, further cementing her reputation as one of the more successful female Mandarin artists out there, and one that isn’t simply a pop princess (ahem, Cyndi Wang).

Songs I particularly enjoyed on this album were 逆光, 咕嘰咕嘰, and some others. It’s really nice to hear something that isn’t canned for a change, and I think she will be on the music scene for quite sometime, and that’s definitely a good thing.
