One more compilation album, this time from Nan Quan Mama (南拳媽媽). It’s also their first compilation album since their debut four years ago, and it includes all their most notable hits since then, over two CDs in all. Of course, that’s not what everyone is interested in, is it? No, I’m sure most people will purchase the album solely for the new songs, of which there are four: Goodbye, Childhood (再見小時候), You’re Not Like Her (妳不像她), Rainy Day (下雨天), Tearful Cosmetics (淚妝).

Among these four songs, my favourites are Goodbye, Childhood and Rainy Day, both of which are extremely nostalgic songs and showcase Nan Quan Mama’s forte: soft, slow ballads - I’ve never been much a fan of some of the new styles they experimented with in their last album, Treasure Map.
